Floating Market – Kanchanaburi

• DAY 1
• 06:15-07:15 Pickup from your hotel in Bangkok or meeting point in Bangkok and travel by minibus to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market which is located southwest of Bangkok.
• 09:00 Arrive at Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. Here you will then take a longtail boat to the edge of the Floating Market where you can walk around the market and experience the atmosphere of the Floating Market with merchants selling vegetables, fruits, foods, drinks, souvenirs and crafts from their boats and riverside stalls.
• If you wish to ride in a paddleboat this costs 150Baht per person extra and takes you through the Floating Market where you can observe the sale and exchange of various goods between parties in their boats as has been traditionally taking place for years.
• 11:00 Depart from the Floating Market and travel to Kanchanaburi.
• 13:00 Lunch at the local restaurant in Kanchanaburi.
• 13:45 After lunch you will visit the famous River Kwai Bridge which spans the Khwae Yai river in Kanchanaburi and was constructed by prisoners of war during the Japanese occupation of Thailand during the second world war. After the River Kwai Bridge you will visit the JEATH War Museum which houses many artifacts and photos from the second world war with details and explanations about this era.
• 16:00 After enjoying the Floating Market and Kanchanaburi you will be taken to your Kanchanaburi guesthouse.
• 16:30 Arrive at Kanchanaburi guesthouse.
• 18:00 Dinner at local Thai restaurant.
• Stay overnight in Kanchanaburi guesthouse.
• DAY 2
• 07:00 Breakfast at your guesthouse in Kanchanaburi.
• 08:00 Pickup from your guesthouse in Kanchanaburi and you will then travel for 1 hour to visit the famous Erawan Waterfalls. The beautiful Erawan Waterfalls consists of seven levels, each with an individual waterfall. There are many lovely swimming areas and many trails to explore. You will have 3 hours to enjoy at your leisure at the Erawan Waterfalls.
• 12:30 Lunch at local Thai restaurant.
• 13:00 After lunch you will visit Phra That Cave. Phra That Cave is a very big cave and there is a steep walk of 600 meters before you reach the entrance to the cave. Inside Phra That Cave you will observe lots of beautiful stalactites and stalagmites and unusual rock formations. You will have free time to explore Phra That Cave.
• 15:30 After enjoying the Erawan Waterfalls and Phra That Cave it is time to depart back to Bangkok.
• 19:00-19:30 Return to Khaosan Road area of Bangkok.
