KANCHANABURI RIVER KWAI, ELEPHANT RIDING, BAMBOO RAFTING AND HELLFIRE PASS FULL DAY TOUR (DT171)





Description
- 06:15-07:15 Pickup from your hotel in Bangkok or meeting point in Bangkok and travel by minibus to Kanchanaburi which is located to the west of Bangkok.
- 09:00 Arrive in Kanchanaburi. Here you will first visit the famous River Kwai Bridge which spans the Khwae Yai river in Kanchanaburi and was constructed by prisoners of war during the Japanese occupation of Thailand during the second world war. After the River Kwai Bridge you will visit the Allied War Cemetery and then the JEATH War Museum which houses many artifacts and photos from the second world war with details and explanations about this era.
- 10:30 After the JEATH War Museum you will travel to a local elephant camp where you will experience elephant riding (30 minutes). After the elephants you will also experience bamboo rafting (30 minutes) along the river.
- 12:15 Lunch at local Thai restaurant.
- 13:00 After lunch you will travel to the Hellfire Pass where you can walk along the railway tracks cutting through the mountain which was constructed by prisoners of war. You can also visit the Hellfire Pass Museum which has more information and photos about the construction of the Hellfire Pass.
- 15:00 After enjoying Kanchanaburi it is time to depart back to Bangkok.
- 17:30-18:00 Return to Khaosan Road area of Bangkok.
