AYUTTHAYA TEMPLES AND RIVER BOAT CRUISE FULL DAY TOUR (DT118)

Description

  • 06:15-07:15 Pickup from your hotel in Bangkok and taken by minibus to the River City Shopping Complex in Bangkok and then depart by coach to travel to the city of Ayutthaya which is located to the north of Bangkok.
  • 09:30 Arrive at the city of Ayutthaya. Here you will first visit Wat Mahathat which is famous for the sand-stone Ayutthaya-style head of the Buddha image entwined in the roots of a giant fig tree. After Wat Mahathat you will visit Wat Phra Si Sanphet which was the Thai capital for over 400 years and you will then visit Viharn Phra Mongkol Bopit which is where one of the largest bronze Buddha statues in Thailand is located. After Viharn Phra Mongkol Bopit you will visit Wat Lokaya Sutha which is famous for its giant reclining Buddha.
  • 12:00 After the Ayutthaya temples you will then travel 1 hour to Wat Chong Lom Pier in Nonthaburi where you will board the Grand Pearl River Cruise Boat. Once welcomed aboard the Grand Pearl River Cruise Boat you can then enjoy a delicious buffet lunch featuring a mix of Thai and western foods as the cruise begins its journey along the Chao Phraya River.
  • You will pass by quaint Koh Kret island and enjoy the views and local river scenery along the Chao Phraya River. Famous sights that you will see include Rama 8 Bridge, Grand Palace, Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun), Siriraj Hospital and Wat Kalayanamitr.
  • 16:00 You will arrive and disembark from the Grand Pearl River Cruise Boat at the River City Shopping Complex Pier in Bangkok. After enjoying the beautiful temples in the ancient city of Ayutthaya and dinner cruise along the Chao Phraya River it is time to return to your hotel in Bangkok.
  • 17:00-17:30 Return to your hotel in Bangkok.
