AYUTTHAYA ANCIENT TEMPLES, ELEPHANT RIDING AND BOAT RIDE FULL DAY TOUR (DT199)





Description
- 07:45-08:00 Pickup from your hotel in Bangkok or meeting point in Bangkok and travel by minibus to the city of Ayutthaya which is located to the north of Bangkok.
- 09:30 Arrive at the city of Ayutthaya. Here you will first visit Wat Mahathat which is famous for the sand-stone Ayutthaya-style head of the Buddha image entwined in the roots of a giant fig tree.
- 10:30 After Wat Mahathat you will visit Wat Phra Si Sanphet which was the Thai capital for over 400 years. After Wat Phra Si Sanphet you will then visit the Ayutthaya Elephant Palace and Royal Kraal where you will ride an elephant (20 minutes).
- 12:15 Lunch at local Thai restaurant.
- 13:00 After lunch you will visit Wat Phanan Choeng which is famous for its giant gilded Buddha statue called ‘Phra Buddha Chinnarat’. This massive Buddha statue is a revered Buddha images in Thailand.
- 13:45 After visiting Wat Phanan Choeng you will ride a longtail boat for 45 minutes along the Chao Phraya River around Ayutthaya.
- 14:30 After the longtail boat ride you will visit Wat Chaiwatthanaram which is located on the bank of the Chao Phraya River in Ayutthaya. Wat Chaiwatthanaram was built in 1630 and is famous for its large central prang (Khmer-style pagoda) surrounded by smaller prangs.
- 15:30 After enjoying the beautiful temples in the ancient city of Ayutthaya it is time to depart back to Bangkok.
- 17:00-17:30 Return to Khaosan Road area of Bangkok.
